Thai Massage is de facto a Passive Yoga and comes from Ayurveda and Yoga. It was developed in the last 2000 years in Thailand.

๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜?

In the course of this course we will learn very practically, with ease and joy a 2-hour massage sequence and variations thereof. Enjoying the process as well as giving and receiving are in the foreground of this course. The course will give us joy.

Absolute beginners are just as welcome as returning students and advanced students, including bodyworkers from other therapy disciplines.

By means of gentle active yoga we will warm up easily and become more flexible, get to know our body better, increase our body awareness and thus easier, more relaxed, effortless giving and learn to protect ourselves as givers against over-tension of muscles and connective tissue. It also is important that we do not pass on our tension to the recipient.

In this course we will also learn and practice some relaxation techniques of Dynamic Thai Yoga Massage through the use of rocking, rhythmic and oscillating massage techniques and a series of movements that create fluidity, continuity and deep relaxation.

With practice and increased sensitivity, the massage reaches an increasingly deeper level. The awareness and experience of different bodies help us to develop our intuitive touch.

Thai massage has many advantages for the individual. It uses the gentle pressure on the energy lines and the yoga-like stretching to relax the whole body at a deeper level. This deeper level of relaxation improves the individual’s personal attitude and emotional status. Deep relaxation has also been shown to promote deeper, more restful sleep. This deeper sleep allows the body to heal itself and makes you feel refreshed as you awaken.

Thai massage helps to reduce individual stress and improve blood circulation.

Thai massage enables the person to achieve a true degree of relaxation. The stress is reduced by the muscles. This allows a more fluid area of stretching through the muscles. This also helps to increase the energy level. With healthier muscles and more energy the person will be able to maintain a healthier weight. It also lowers blood sugar levels, reverses the onset of type 2 diabetes and helps care for type 1 diabetes.

As blood flow increases, more oxygen is delivered to the brain. This will reduce the number of migraines and headaches the person suffers from. Increased blood flow reduces the likelihood of blood clotting in the arteries.
